CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION

IP CCTV

CCTV comes in lots of different flavours these days but the newest and most up to date is that of IP CCTV.  Internet Protocol CCTV means that the CCTV images can be transmitted over the internet or local area network.  Nol onger do we need to install miles of coaxial cable from each camera back to the central control room we can just add each camera into our computer network at the nearest node.  Images can either be recorded locally or on a network video recorder located anywhere on the network.  An operator can view and control the cameras either from the local control room or the furthest corner of the earth with an internet connection.

IFM Systems have the knowledge and experience to install this type of system for you.  If you require the latest and most effective deployment of CCTV cameras within your organization then please call us to discuss your requirements.

Advances in Outdoor Surveillance from the Super Dynamic III dome camera with advanced auto track The WV-CW970 technologically advanced colour dome camera from Panasonic provides advanced 24-hour surveillance with Template Matching, making the Auto Tracking feature more powerful. Featuring Panasonic’s pioneering Super Dynamic III technology, a 360 degree high-speed pan and tilt base, and a 30x optical zoom lens the WV-CW970 is faster and more intelligent than ever before. The WV-CW970 Outdoor Colour Dome Camera from Panasonic features a new algorithm called Template Matching which enables the Auto Tracking function, used to automatically track moving subjects with the camera, to be more responsive. The camera realises high-accuracy detection of individuals by memorising the characteristics of the subject including any colours, shape and contrast. Another key feature of the WV-CW970 is its defiance against tricky weather conditions; rain resistant, the camera can be installed under eaves, on external walls or rooftops, and in other outdoor locations. A built-in sun shield is also featured to ensure it can cope equally well in sunny conditions, permitting camera locations which are in direct sunlight. Also equipped for temperature changes, the housing's built-in fan and heater allow an operating temperature range of -40c to +50c. The WV-CW970 also guarantees continuous 24 hour surveillance as when darkness falls, the camera automatically switches to B/W mode for greater sensitivity. In daylight, it automatically switches to colour mode. With a minimum illumination of 0.04lux in B/W mode and 0.5lux in colour, a clear surveillance image can even be captured in poorly lit, dim conditions. The WV-CW970 has a number of innovative features including the auto image stabilizer function for applications where vibration or wind is a concern e.g. passing vehicles. The WV-CW970 also incorporates a scene change detection alarm should the lens be covered, spray painted, removed, defocused or if the cameras angle is altered.

Encoder-Decoder

Dual streaming WJ-NT314 video encoder with Video Analytics Taking significant strides ahead of the WJ-NT304, the WJ-NT314 features video analytics to track and detect suspicious activity. The WJ-NT314 video encoder is a cost-effective way to convert existing analogue cameras into higher performance, user-friendly network recording systems, but delivers even more performance with two channel Advanced Video Motion Detection. This allows for both intruder detection and object abandonment and removal to be traced. Intruder detection can pinpoint a suspicious entry whether daylight or after dark and traces the intruder’s steps to ensure the source of the intrusion can be easily identified, whether it be over a fence or breaking into a back door. Similarly, the encoder will detect if an object has been left for a configurable amount of time or even if an object has been removed, both will send an alert to the user. Depth Correction also allows more accurate detection when the scene includes a deeper depth of field. This encoder can transmit VGA (640 x 480) images in either MPEG-4 or JPEG at up to 30 frames per second. Alternatively, dual streaming makes it possible to combine seamless remote video monitoring and high resolution recording using MPEG-4 with simultaneous transmission of JPEG images to an optional Network Video Recorder. The WJ-NT314 incorporates a multicast feature which allows simultaneous transmission of MPEG-4 to multiple clients whilst making efficient use of bandwidth. Utilising network shaping whilst transmitting in MPEG-4, network bandwidth is carefully regulated to avoid sudden bursts in data from the encoder which could result in an overload of the network. Two-way audio is supported by the encoder to allow live audio monitoring using a locally procured microphone, with the option to send audio back if required. Control options such as pan, tilt and zoom operations can be selected and controlled remotely on a Panasonic dome camera through a single coaxial cable which is used for both video and telemetry. In addition the multiscreen feature of the WJ-NT314 permits the display of images from up to 16 cameras in four separate Quad screens. The network encoder also features a built-in SD memory card slot which makes it possible to back up surveillance images in the event of network difficulties and recorded data can be downloaded by using FTP command. With a built-in alarm function for external security devices, the WJ-NT314 is suitable for a wide range of applications. It's a straightforward and extremely cost-effective way to convert existing analogue cameras into higher performance, user-friendly network recording systems.
